I had a beautiful Shepard puppy. Whenever I needed to go out and I couldn’t take him with me I would secure him in the kitchen.

I had constructed a barrier on the kitchen door that was retractable so he couldn’t get into the other parts of the house and get into trouble during my absences.
In my defense I made sure I always provided him with a large bowl of water and a bowl with dry kibble, even if he never ate it, he only ate raw meat. On this evening I needed to conduct some business and he couldn’t come. I gave him a raw beef bone to chew because he was teething.
I left him with his new bone and reassurances that I would return shortly. The look he gave me was accusatory and undeserved, but I was late and couldn’t spend any time explaining and defending myself. My operation at the time was contained in three rooms of the house that were secured behind two locked doors and only accessible through those two doors, a redundant door operation.
Anyway, I completed my business and on the way home picked up some lamb for my puppy. I guess the accusatory look made me feel guilty. When I reached home all was forgiven and he was excited as usual to see me upon my return. I gave him his raw lamb; he loved that stuff, and prepared for my nightly duties of running a maximum quantity operation.
I changed my clothes before entering, which should always be done to prevent the introduction of pests and disease and opened my redundant door operation. My puppy following in a well behaved manner with an air of superiority about him, he always thought he was smarter than me.
The first thing I noticed was a catastrophe. The ninth week section of the system had numerous broken tops all hanging down and looking brutalized. What the hell has happened? I thought or said out loud to myself, I don’t know which, I was too distraught. Thoughts of the puppy getting in and jumping on the number nine section of the system and causing the damage flit through my confused mind. I look down at the puppy and he cocks his head recognizing the situation, possibly through ESP where blame was being directed in his direction.
The look he gave me was classic. It was a look that said it all. Indignation at being blamed and slight pity for me and my skills at deductive reasoning that stated, this is a double door redundant operation, you just unlocked the double door redundant operation dummy, two times. How could I have had anything to do with this? I was unlawfully contained in the kitchen the whole time. I was cruelly left behind and you were out doing who knows what without me.
We rush up to the section to investigate. I can’t figure it out. This has never happened before. I sit down on an overturned bucket and the puppy places his front paws on my knees. I put my arm around him feeling sorry for myself and he licks my ear in consolation. We gather ourselves and start to think rationally. I stand up and observe closely all the evidence. Other than the broken flower stems the operation looks normal, the flowers themselves do not appear to be smashed as if they had come in contact with something pushing them down. The stems are cracked irregularly so I rule out sabotage by cutting, even if this is a double door redundant operation and no one could have entered.
Dummy, the puppy sends telepathically. I look down guiltily at the puppy and he is looking back at me with a bland expression. I avert my eyes and continue to survey the rest of the sections. I start to notice that the flowers are fuller in the earlier week sections of the system than they were before. I go back to the destruction and lift a broken flower. It is heavy, heavier than usual. I lift another it is also heavy, heavier than the first. I sit back down on the bucket and the puppy is looking at me for confirmation. His expression is saying have you figured it out yet genius.
I think back to what I have done differently. It is the same strain, the same parent, the same everything except I have started to use Reverse Osmosis water as my base before adding nutrients. Where I could only put 1200 PPM of nutrient into the water in the past to make a 1500 PPM level because the tap water had 300 PPM to start with, and I have determined that 1500 PPM is the ultimate concentration to use to provide Maximum quantities without fear of complications such as overdosing or burning. Now that I am purifying the water of unwanted lime, calcium and other particulate it is close to 0 PPM. At this point I am putting 1500 PPM of nutrient into solution instead of 1200 PPM before the (RO) process. This gives me approximately 20% more nutrients available which must have improved my overall weight at harvest.
Now my confused mind is becoming clear and the puppy appears to be getting excited, People who know dogs will say he was reading my body language, but that is not it at all. This puppy is smart and is owned by a master grower. He has been exposed to the fine arts of maximum quantity production and he recognizes a successful technique that we have implemented.
To qualify this discovery another flower snaps before our eyes and we positively concur that we are now producing heavier flowers than we were before and they are breaking under their own unsupported weight. We feel great even if we have lost some flowers. We hurriedly concoct improvised support netting that covers the sections that are in danger of breakage. We stroll out of the double door redundant operation with our victorious heads held high and mental preparations for future support systems that deal with this situation extremely satisfied with our results.
I was producing a strain of good quality with acceptable weights that I thought was at its maximum potential until I introduced Reverse Osmosis treated water to the system.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a process that pushes water through a series of membranes to filter or purify its content and purge unwanted particles. It is beneficial to reduce your water to as close to zero as possible, meaning if you measured its content you would get as close to a reading of zero (0) on a PPM (Parts per million) or EC (Electrical conductivity) scale. PPM/EC meters measure this content and with this information you can tell exactly what base number on the scale you started with when adding nutrients to your water and what concentration you have when you have added the nutrients
Example 1: If you start with tap water that is approximately 300 PPM
Your strain can process 1500 PPM
You can add 1200 PPM of nutrient
300 PPM water + 1200 PPM nutrient = 1500 PPM solution
Example 2: If you start with tap water that is approximately 300 PPM
Apply the process of Reverse Osmosis to the 300 PPM water
After the RO process you get zero water (0)
You can add 1500 PPM of nutrient
300 PPM water + RO process = 0 PPM water
0 PPM water + 1500 PPM nutrient = 1500 PPM solution
You have increased your nutrient concentration by 20%
This contributes to a higher percentage quantity
Can you see the advantage? If not let me explain further. Plants can only process and store a given amount of nutrients as in the example above 1500 PPM. If given too much there root systems will clog and the plant will be deprived of moisture and dry out or burn which is not an accurate term to describe exactly what is taking place, though it is a common phrase used to describe this condition.
Plant root systems or I should say the easily visible part of a plants root system is actually covered with a mesh like membrane that captures moisture and nutrients. This membrane is what filter feeds the actual roots. The roots in turn do the business of transporting moisture and nutrients up to the plant. If this membrane is clogged because of over fertilization or there is a build up of particles covering the roots membranes the plant can not process moisture in sufficient quantity. The plant dries up or has an appearance of being burned hence the term fertilizer burn.
PPM/EC meters allow you to be able to know conclusively what concentration of nutrients you are feeding and also what most Pros over look is what is coming out in the runoff. You need to check that also. Now you have a reading to compare with the visual appearance of the plant. This allows you to develop a feeding schedule and maximize nutrient assimilation without the risk of over fertilization and damage to the plant.
Over nutrient consumption is evident when the plants color starts to turn a dark shade of green. If allowed to progress the leaf tips start to curl. If still not recognized the leaf tips turn brown. You were in trouble that the dark green stage. At that stage, where the leaves start to turn dark green, you need to reduce nutrient strength and in some cases flush with pure RO water. This is necessary to prevent burning. Sensitivity and awareness are your two greatest tools for production and RO water and PPM/EC meters will allow you to produce maximum quantities.
